Of that market, labels printed by inkjet printing technology comprises a very small part, probably less than 1 percent. Smurfit-Stone Closes Box Plant, Laying Off 120 Workers
Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. announced Friday it will close its Jacksonville box plant in the first quarter of next year.      The box plant employs 32 salaried workers and 88 hourly workers, said Mike Mullin, Smurfit-Stone director of media relations and public affairs. The facility fashions two types of paper stock into corrugated cardboard material and folds it into boxes, he said.

Rock-Tenn To Close Baltimore Carton Plant
Norcorss, GA-based Rock-Tenn (www.rocktenn.com) will close its 125-employee Baltimore folding-carton plant, moving production to four of its other plants in the Southeast and Canada.
