PACK EXPO: Rollprint Introduces Solvent-Free Overwrap

Rollprint Packaging Products launched Triad, a new high-barrier, solvent-free overwrap developed using the company's proprietary metallocene-based sealant chemistry. The sealant layer bonds to foil without the use of solvent or water-based materials.
Triad, making its debut at Pack Expo, is an extrusion-coated lamination of polyester, aluminum foil and metallocene that has been engineered to provide an exceptionally strong hermetic weld seal in high-speed, chemically-sensitive, pharmaceutical applications. Equally important, the performance benefits can be achieved at a cost-competitive price.
Typical uses for Triad are applications including blow-fill-seal unit dose containers for inhalation therapy or diagnostic kits that require an overwrap to help achieve desired barrier properties. The structure is an ideal alternative to adhesive, solventless and water-based laminations for a broad variety of "life science" applications.
