One Month in the Books

By: noreply@blogger.com
June 25, 2008
We’re now officially at the end of our first month on CMM Online, and looking back, I think we’re doing some good things. We’re bringing you, the converting community, a steady stream of news, product releases, wire news briefs and feature stories – all from a variety of sources. And I think we’re doing a pretty good job of all of that, but that’s not all you get.

We have some really, really good videos in our Media area, specifically from the show floor at Drupa, so look for that part of CMM Online to expand. But there are a couple areas I’m looking to you for some help.

I need more in the areas of contributed, interesting columns and blogs, and I want to hear about the fantastic converter stories that are out there…I want to know what you do well, and what makes you successful. Those are the stories that the rest of the converting community are interested in, and those stories can spark ideas and growth within other areas of the market. You know what they say: a rising tide lifts all ships.

Finally, while I’m not a nuts-and-bolts technology guy, I’m always looking for more technical information about innovations, operations and success stories. That means white papers, research papers and case studies. If you have any, or know of any that might fit that description, tell me about it. I want to bring that information to our readers.

Bottom line: I want to hear directly from you. Tell me you agree with me. Tell me I’m wrong. Tell me I’m missing a great story of an unknown converter. Tell me about some breakthrough technology. Whatever you want to say, I want to hear it. Feedback from you is the best way to shape and improve what we can deliver to the converting community. E-mail me at brendano@pennwell.com.
